Rob Hodge, writer/producer and native of Philadelphia, is unlike any other emcee. His lyrical skills are truly soothing to the ear with straight up lyrics and hot beats. As a child of the 70's, Rob has seen the struggle and crime of the inner city ghetto life in North Philadelphia. His songs are lyrical essays of tales and stories on how he’s seen lives transformed through the grace of God.
Having shared the stage with acts such as Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker, The Roots, Wyclef Jean, Wu-Tang Clan, and Tye Tribbett, Rob Hodge is primed to take Born King to the streets and communicate Christ’s love through his musical gifts.
You’ve probably heard some of Rob’s songs within the last year with cuts on both Best of the Submissions vol. 1 and vol. 2, as well as lending his vocal talents on Pee Wee Callins’ track “Fire.” Known in the streets for years, and now in the industry as a great innovative hip-hop artist that will be listed as one of the prominent acts to come, the much anticipated debut album Born King drops April 18 on Beatmart. This is only the beginning… Rob Hodge is here. It’s a new day in hip-hop indeed.
