There's no previously-recorded work included here; instead, the seven existing songs are all recorded anew, in a unique studio setting that attempted to capture the essence of Owens' live performances (in a distinct, and I would assume, very calculated departure from the heavier production heard on Something More). Only the most minimal instrumentation is utilized, using acoustic brush strokes to present Owens' music on the most scaled-down canvas possible. While something this simplistic would never work for most artists, it's actually a refreshing change to hear Owens reinterpret her songs in this based-around-the-piano format, where she's most at home. Most interesting of all, the EP was produced by none other than Margaret Becker, who obviously brought the "less is more" approach to the table.

The disc is complemented by a digitized version of Owens' first concept video, for "With Me." All in all, it's a neat little collection.
